**Q: When and where is the event?**  

A: The Dogs and Deputies event will take place on September 14, 2024, at Wiggle Rumps, 2602 Castro Valley Blvd, Castro Valley.

 

**Q: What time does the event start and end?**  

A: The event will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

 

### Event Activities

 

**Q: What activities will be available at the event?**  

A: Activities include obedience and agility demonstrations, meet and greet with local deputies and their K-9 partners, creative grooming showcase, pet costume contest, ugliest dog contest, pet photo booth, vendor booths, food trucks, and a raffle with fantastic prizes.

 

**Q: Can I enter my dog in the contests?**  

A: Yes, there will be sign-up sheets at the event for all contest including the pet costume contest and ugliest dog contest. Please arrive early to ensure your spot.

 

### Participation and Attendance

 

**Q: Is there an entry fee for the event?**  

A: The event is free to attend. However, some activities and vendor purchases may have associated costs.

 

**Q: Do I need to register in advance?**  

A: While registration is not required, it helps us plan better. You can pre-register on our website to receive updates and event information.

 

**Q: Are there any requirements for dogs attending the event?**  

A: All dogs must be on a leash and up to date on vaccinations. No bitches in heat. Please ensure your dog is comfortable in a social setting.

 

### For Groomers

 

**Q: How can local groomers participate in the creative grooming showcase?**  

A: Local groomers interested in showcasing their work can sign up on our website or contact us directly at 510-583-7297. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged. Enter a chance to win $ for Creative Grooming Competition. 1st place $500, 2nd Place $250 , 3rd place $100! Judged by World Wide Creative Pet Groomer Influencer: Katrina Short 

 

**Q: Is there a fee for groomers to participate?**  

A: There is no fee for groomers to participate in the showcase. It's a great opportunity to display your skills and connect with the community.

 

### Vendors and Sponsorship

 

**Q: How can I become a vendor or sponsor for the event?**  

A: Vendors and sponsors can apply through our website. Please visit the 'Vendor/Sponsor Application' section for more details and to submit your application.

 

**Q: What types of vendors are you looking for?**  

A: We welcome vendors offering pet-related products and services, food trucks, and local businesses interested in reaching pet owners.

 

### Proceeds and Donations

 

**Q: Where will the proceeds from the event go?**  

A: Proceeds from vendors and sponsors will benefit participating Dog Rescue organizations also: [George Mark House](https://georgemark.org/) and [C.A.L.I.C.O.](https://www.calicocenter.org/).

**Q: Is there parking available at the event?**  

A: Yes, there is ample parking available at the venue.

 

**Q: Will there be food and drinks available?**  

A: Yes, there will be food trucks offering a variety of treats for both humans and dogs for purchase and FREE Water provided for Humans & Dogs.
